

Lagardere Travel Retail – operator of the RELAY brand network of press and tobacco shops
We digitized hundreds of RELAY stores – installing monitors and video walls, connecting them to the data infrastructure, and providing a complete content management solution.
For our client Lagardère Travel Retail, we implemented an extensive project to digitize their retail network of newsagents, tobacco shops, and snack bars.
Individual stores were equipped with monitors embedded in colored frames and fully connected to the client’s network data infrastructure so that the client could conveniently manage advertising content at its branches.
At Václav Havel Airport in Prague, RELAY stores were equipped with several types of display solutions:
large-format screens on the storefront
video wall at the store entrance
monitors embedded in a colored frame and in the sales counter
smaller monitors above refrigerated counters designed for impulse purchases and promotions
Separate drawings were prepared for each monitor variant, according to which the frame structures were manufactured – partly in cooperation with the company responsible for the store redesign and other suppliers.

Flexibility: Thanks to the connection to the data infrastructure, the client gained the ability to centrally manage content across hundreds of branches.
Modularity: Different types of monitors allow for optimization according to location (shop window, counter, impulse purchase) and operating conditions (e.g., temperature differences).
Design and integration: Colorful monitor frames and recessed installation into the interior/sales counter ensure aesthetics and harmony with the uniform visual appearance of the stores.
Targeted communication: Impulse monitors above refrigerated display cases allow you to target customers at the moment of decision, while large-format displays increase brand visibility.
Results
The project contributed to the modernization of the RELAY network in the Czech Republic, supporting the trend of digitization of retail stores in transport hubs. Business context of the RELAY brand: the brand is an iconic part of the Lagardère group – its origins date back to 1852, and today it operates more than 360 points of sale in the Czech Republic.
